Power Rangers: Lost Galaxy |

|
Scene opens on the moon, all the GSA
soldiers are boarding the ships again in a hurry. Except Kai. He walks along slowly, helmet in his hand, and one of the soldier’s
yells to him, “Come on! Transport’s leaving!” Kai stops, looking back to where he left the others, then
puts his helmet on and runs to the ship. xxxxxx Cut
to Mirinoi. Maya is quietly leading Kendrix and Mike through the jungle, both of whom have weapons ready and are looking around
suspiciously. Kendrix talks to Mike, breaking the silence. “You didn’t mention you had a little brother.” “He’s
a handful,” Mike says. Kendrix
turns to him. “You’re sorta . . . hard on him, don’t you think?” “Well,
I don’t mean to be,” he says, shouldering his weapon. He pauses. “Sometimes Leo does the craziest things.
I just wanna make sure he’s okay.” Kendrix
smiles and puts a hand on his shoulder. “I know,” she says quietly, then walks on. xxxxxx Back
on the shuttle, all the soldiers are cheering and celebrating their successful exercise. But Kai sits silently, staring into
nowhere and remembering Commander Stanton’s words, And remember. Never, ever, leave a team member behind. “I
shouldn’t have left them,” Kai says quietly. The
door of the shuttle opens and they all start pouring out, but he remains there. He looks down as their boots trample a flyer,
with a picture of the Astro Megaship on it. He frowns and picks it up. “Astro Megaship Museum. Yes!” He stands
and runs out of the shuttle. xxxxxx Opening
Credits Roll xxxxxx Kai
arrives at the Convention Center where a large sign advertises the museum, and runs up a lot of steps to the building. Cut
to inside the megaship, wear DECA’s voice is speaking. In the Astro Megaship Museum, the power rangers began many
adventures. People are looking around in admiration, and Alpha stands in the doorway greeting them happily. Kai
enters and begins showing the people out. “Tour’s over, everyone leave calmly now.” The people oblige and
they all start filing out. Kai looks around a moment and Alpha taps his shoulder. “Would you mind telling me what is
going on here?” Kai
looks at him. “This ship is being recommisioned,” he says professionally. “For a special—top secret
assignment.” He flashes some ID. “Top
secret assignment? Does that mean what I think it means?” “That’s
right,” Kai says, going to the computer as the last of the people head out the door. “She’s gonna fly again.” “Fly?”
asks a voice, and we pan around to see a man standing in the side doorway. He walks up to Kai slowly. “This is some
kind of a joke, right?” Kai
glanced his way, then starts working at the controls. “Who are you?” Alpha
speaks up again. “And no one told me about any secret mission.” “Yeah,”
Damon says. “GSA mission? Let’s see your orders.” Kai
pauses, then turns to face Damon. “Look . . . I don’t have any orders.” Damon says and shakes his head,
and Kai’s voice sharpens. “It’s a long story. But my friends flew through a dimensional portal, to save
another world.” Damon turns and starts to leave and Kai follows him a few feet. “The portal closed.” Damon
stops. “This megaship is the only craft that has a chance of making it through. If I can’t save them, then they’re
gone. Forever.” Damon turns slightly, and they stare at each other a moment, then Kai turns to Alpha. “This megaship
flew in here, now it’s gotta fly out.” He points at Damon. “We’re gonna need your help.” Damon
laughs. “My help.” “You
said it yourself, you know this ship inside and out,” Kai says. “I don’t.” “Look,”
Damon says. “I wish I could help your friends. Really. But, you’d be lucky if you could get this thing off the
ground!” He turns and leaves. “Fine,”
Kai says after him. “Leave if you want to.” He goes back to the computer. “DECA, close the exit ramp.” “Exit
ramp closing,” DECA replies. Kai
takes a breath. “All right, Alpha. I need your help.” Alpha
comes over. “Oh . . . well . . .” “Which
button is it?” he asks. “I
don’t think that’s such a good idea . . .” lights start flashing and the ship shakes as Kai presses controls,
and the doors slide open and closed. “No, don’t touch those controls. You’re overheating the accelerators!
We must maintain power.” “Right,”
Kai says, looking lost. Damon appears in the doorway again and watches. “And, how do I do that?” Damon
shakes his head. “I know I’m gonna regret this . . .” he comes in. “We’re
never going to make it!” Alpha exclaims. Damon
steps between them and pushes them aside. “Out of the way.” He presses a few buttons and the ship stops shaking,
everything returning to normal. “Alpha, power to the starboard, twenty percent.” “Right,”
Alpha replies. “DECA,”
he continues. “Shut down all auxiliary systems.” He pauses, looking up. “And kick the birds out of the exhaust
ports.” “Affirmative,”
DECA answers. Kai
laughs a little and Damon turns to him. “And as for you, step back, don’t touch a thing, and leave this to the
pro.” He cracks his fingers and works at the computer, and soon the ship lifts from the ground. They
tilt once and then hit a nearby building, and Kai glances at Damon. “Like a pro, huh?” “Yeah,”
says Damon. “She’s a little groggy but um, she’s waking up.” The ship lifts off and people watch from
below as it flies into the sky. Cut
to the ship flying through space. Damon is at the controls while Kai stands beside him, hands behind his back. Then he points.
“There.” The screen shows a portal in space. “Just like the one they entered. Alpha, will the ship survive
the energy flux?” “What?”
Alpha asks. Damon
takes his hands off the controls and looks at Kai, and the ship starts swerving. “You wait till we get this far and
now you wonder if we’ll survive?” Kai lunges for the controls and tries to keep the ship steady as Damon walks
away. “Ay-yi-yi!”
Alpha exclaims. “What
are you doing?” Kai asks Damon. “I
must be out of my mind,” Damon says as they near the portal. He comes back and pulls Kai from the controls. “Fasten
your seatbelts.” He takes the controls and the ship enters the portal. xxxxxx Leo
tromps through the jungle, weapon carelessly in his hand, then stops as a few stingwingers approach him. He smiles a little.
“Okay. Three against one, I can handle this.” He laughs to himself. The
stingwingers attack and immediately his weapon is thrown from his hand. More arrive and in a few seconds he is thrown into
the air, landing in some high plants. Right by Kendrix, Mike and Maya. Mike whispers, “Quiet,” as the stingwingers
advance. He kneels beside Leo. “I told you not to follow us.” He looks out and watches the stingwingers search. “But
I—” Leo begins. The
stingwingers leave and they all stand, Maya leading the way as they walk off. xxxxxx Furio
is standing before the stone, as a bunch of stingwingers hold back the old man. “I’ve had enough,” Furio
says. “Tell me how to release the quasar sabers.” He turns to the man. “Or I’ll destroy your whole
planet.” “You’ll
never release them,” the man says. “You weren’t chosen!” Furio
walks up to him. “You will pay dearly for such insolence.” He raises his sword with a yell. “Stop!”
shouts a voice. Maya leaps over the people gathered and lands behind Furio. “What?”
he asks, turning. Maya
points at him angrily. “Don’t touch him!” “And
who is going to stop me?” he asks. Mike,
Kendrix and Leo run in, standing beside Maya, and Leo says, “All of us.” He smiles a little, obviously excited
about the whole situation. “That’s who.” “Just
the four of you?” Furio asks. “Wrong!”
Kai’s voice shouts. He and Damon run in from another side, Damon looking very overwhelmed. “The six of us.”
The other four smile as they see them. Furio
orders the stingwingers, “Attack!” They
run at them and Mike turns to the others. “Come on, guys, let’s go!” They run forward and begin to fight
the stingwingers. Kai and Damon do the same. Three of the guys do pretty well, but the girls take a beating. Mike
is fighting Furio, and as the monster kicks him he is thrown back to the large stone. Furio approaches him with his sword
pointed at him, and Mike looks up at him, terror plain on his face. Furio raises his sword to kill him and Mike reaches behind
him, grabbing the hilt of one of the quasar sabers and pulling it out with a yell, clashing it against Furio’s sword.
Sparks fly and Furio is thrown back, hitting the ground. Mike
takes a moment and looks at the sword in his hand, and the other four, minus Leo, run up to him. “Guys,” Mike
says, smiling a little. Furio
stands angrily. “Give me that saber and I won’t destroy you!” “Should
we try?” Kendrix asks Mike quietly. He nods. They
all turn and each take a saber, pulling it out of the stone. Everyone steps back in surprise and the five of them turn back
to Furio. “The quasar sabers,” the old man says to himself. Maya
smiles. “We’ve been chosen!” Kendrix and Kai look completely confused as they stare at the sabers. Leo is
still fighting the stingwingers, and looks up as he gets the chance, smiling a little. “If
I can’t have the sabers,” says Furio. “Then no one will!” He raises his sword and it crackles with
energy, then he sticks it into the ground. Slowly, the earth around it starts to turn to stone. Leo
looks at it in fear and runs over to Mike, standing beside him. “Look out!” Kai shouts, and they all start to
run away. The
wave quickens and soon people and everything in it’s path are turned to stone. Maya stops and looks back, and the old
man shouts, “Run, Maya, run!” Mike
runs back to her and grabs her arm. “Let’s go! Maya!” The old man is turned to stone and she watches in
horror. “You’ll be turned to stone too!” he shouts. “Come
on!” Leo shouts at them. “Come
on, we’ve gotta get out of here,” Mike says, putting an arm around her as they run off. “Hurry!”
shouts Kendrix. “It’s catching up to us!” And it is too, right behind them. Furio
appears in front of them and they are forced to stop. He laughs. “Did you really believe you could run away from me?”
he asks. Leo stands ready to fight and Mike is beside him, saber in hand. Both look nervous, but determined. “Never!”
Furio shouts, raising his sword again. He
strikes the ground and it splits where it’s hit, a crevice opening between the rangers. Mike pushes Leo out of the way,
shouting, “Get out of it’s way!” Then he turns to his other side to make sure Maya has made it. The ground
splits right between his feet and he struggles to keep his balance, but one foot slips and he falls in, crying out in fear.
Leo
is being held back by a group of stingwingers as he looks on. “Mike!” he screams. He shoves them off and runs
to the opening, lying down and reaching over the edge, where Mike holds on to one side precariously. “Give me your hand!”
Leo shouts, reaching down. Mike
looks up at him. “I can’t hold on!” he shouts, scared. He slips down a few feet. “Give
me your hand!” Leo insists, his voice breaking. Mike tries to pull himself up but it failing as he holds on with one
hand and barely his feet. “You can do it!” Leo cries. “Leo,”
Mike gasps, gripping the stone tightly. He manages to raise his sword. “Take the saber.” “Your
hand!” Leo argues. “I
can’t hold on!” Mike shouts, his feet slipping. “Don’t
give up!” Leo shouts. “Take
it!” Mike says desperately. “I
can’t!” Leo says, looking about to cry. “Of
course you can,” Mike insists. “You have to.” “Okay,”
Leo says, reaching for it. “I’ll try.” “Hurry,”
Mike says frantically. “I’m
trying!” Leo snaps. He grabs it. “Got it.” He brings it up and looks down at Mike. “Mike, you can’t
let go!” “It’s
okay,” Mike says, a little calmer than before. “You can carry on for me, you can do it.” Leo is now in tears
as he watches his brother helplessly. “I’ve always been so proud of you, Leo,” Mike says, probably for the
first time. I always will be.” Leo’s breath catches and he looks about to speak, but nothing comes out. Mike nods
quietly, then closes his eyes, pushing himself from the cliff. “No!”
Leo screams as he falls. “Leo!”
Mike shouts as he disappears below. Leo
is crying as he watches, then the ground comes together, and he whispers, “Mike.” “No!”
Kendrix screams as they’re all held back by stingwingers. “No!”
Kai shouts. “Mike!”
Maya shouts, apparently quickly attached to the man who tried to save her world. “Mike!”
Damon shouts, apparently quickly attached to anyone. Leo
is still lying on the ground, crying softly as he stares at the earth. “Who’s next?” Furio asks. Leo glares
up at him, tears in his eyes, then stands shakily, holding the quasar saber and clenching his fist. “Oh,” Furio
says, amused. “Does baby brother want a piece of me, too?” He laughs and Leo just stares at him, more anger than
anything in his sad green eyes. The
others run up to him and he looks at them quietly, then back at Furio, who continues laughing. “Well come on!”
Furio challenges. “What are you waiting for, a written invitation?” Leo cross his sword over his chest and it
starts glowing red, and they all look at their own as they do the same, with each color. “What?” Furio asks. “The
quasar sabers are more powerful than I thought.” Leo
looks at the others, then nods at Furio and slowly raises his saber to the sky. The others follow suit and electricity crackles.
Each of them transforms into a power ranger, the usual morphing sequence without the intro. Furio covers his eyes as electricity
flashes. “What in the galaxy is this?” Five rangers stand before him, swords raised, then they all get into battle
stance. “Impressive,” Furio says. “Wow,”
Kendrix whispers. “This
is unbelievable!” Damon says, spinning around. “I’ve
never felt such power!” Leo raises a fist. “All right!” “Yeah,”
Maya says. “Silly
costumes won’t help against my power,” Furio boasts. Leo
turns to him sharply. “Why don’t we just find out about that?” He raises a hand and clenches it into a fist.
“All right guys. This one’s for Mike!” “Stingwingers!”
Furio shouts. “Destroy them!” The
stingwingers attack and the rangers run forward, the four taking the bugs while Leo takes on Furio. They fight for a long
time, all doing extremely well and amazed at their new powers. “Haven’t you had enough?” Leo asks Furio. “I’ve
had enough all right,” Furio says. “Enough of you!” He fires a blast at Leo and it hits him directly, sending
him flying back. “Aw
man,” Leo says. “This may be a little tougher than I thought.” “You
have no idea who you’re messing with,” Furio says. He walks forward, sword pointing at Leo. “I am Furio.
And I do not lose.” Leo
stands up. “Quasar saber!” he raises it and it glows. “Energize.” He circles his arms and flames burst
out around him, the sword glowing red. He slashes Furio across the chest and an explosions occurs, knocking Furio to the ground. Kai
finishes off some stingwingers. “Man, I’m loving this!” Then he pauses, looking up. “Oh no.”
He watches as the wave approaches Kendrix. “Watch out!” Kendrix
looks up. “Oh no, it’s here already!” “Come
on!” Kai shouts, fighting through some stingwingers to clear the way. Leo
is fighting Furio in a rage and winning, and is about to go for the kill when Maya grabs him from behind. “Leo, stop!
We’ve gotta get out of here now!” “This
isn’t over, Furio!” Leo shouts at him. He turns and they start to run off. “Come
on, let’s go!” Kai shouts. They
all get to him and Leo steps up. “You guys go. I’ll hold off the stingwingers!” “No,”
says Kai. “We all go.” “Don’t
let them get away!” Furio shouts, following them. Leo
stops and turns back, sword ready. “Furio!” Kai
grabs him. “Now is not the time, Leo!” He shoves him forward and they continue running. “Go! We’ll
get him later.” They
run for a while and finally get to the megaship and all head up the ramp. But Leo stops and turns around, heading back. “Mike,”
he whispers. Kai grabs him again and he tries to fight him off. “I can’t leave him!” “We
can’t help him now, Leo!” Kai shouts, pulling him back. “Come on!” The doors shut as they all make
their way inside, and some stingwingers runs into it. Cut
to Kai and Damon walking onto the bridge, helmets in hand. Alpha turns to see them. “Ay-yi-yi! Power Rangers!”
Kai brushes him off and they go to the computers. “But how?” “Later
Alpha,” Kai says. “Right now we need to get out of here!” The
other three run in the doorway and stop, looking around in amazement. “Ay-yi-yi-yi-yi,” Alpha says as they walk
past. “I can’t believe it. The Power Rangers are back. This is too good to be true!” Damon
stands at the thrusters. “Everybody hold on.” He pushes them forward and the ship takes off. Furio
watches from the surface. “They’re getting away! Hurry it up, get to the Scorpion Stinger, right now!” Back
on the ship, Maya stares out the window beside Leo at her home, which is now completely turning to stone. The Megaship heads
away from it quickly. “Oh
no,” Alpha says. “What
is it, Alpha?” Kai asks. “The
portal’s closing,” Alpha says as they fly toward it. “Hold
on,” Damon says. Electricty
crackles and lights flash as the ship shakes and the rangers hold on, then all of a sudden all is still. Leo gives a small
smile as he looks around, then back at the others, who all smile in relief. “I can’t believe it,” Maya says,
looking down at her uniform. “Do you know what this means?” She looks up. “Those swords . . . the quasar
sabers . . . were put in that rock, three-thousand years ago.” Shows scenes from years ago as she explains. “Every
warrior in the galaxy tried to pull them. But none could. Until now.” Back to the present. “We’ve been given
an unbelievable opportunity, and responsibility to defend all that is just and right in the universe. Don’t you see?”
She turns slowly and faces them. “We’ve been chosen, to be Power Rangers.” They
all look at each other in a mix of confusion and happiness, and we pan over to Leo, who is looking down at the saber in his
hands quietly, blinking sadly. This is for you, Mike, his thoughts whisper.
Back
on Terra Venture, which is still docked outside Earth, the Astro Megaship arrives, landing inside. Cut to Kendrix and Kai
entering Command discreetly as we hear Commander Stanton’s voice. “And finally, I want you all to know how proud
I am of each and every one of you as we begin this, our adventure of a lifetime. All right. What do you say we see the galaxy?
Fire thrusters.” The thrusters power up and he turns to the windows. “Let’s go find a new world.”
The engines start and Terra Venture begins it’s journey. xxxxxx Outside
of the ship we now know as the Scorpion Stinger is shown, then inside where Scorpius, a large octopus-like being, is speaking.
“Furio. What is our status?” “We
have passed through the portal, Scorpius,” Furio says. “Then
you had best begin your duty,” Scorpius says. “Get me the quasar sabers, and destroy those who have taken them
from me.” “Yes,”
Furio says. “It will be done.” “It
had better,” Scorpius says. He laughs as the ship flies towards Terra Venture. xxxxxx |
